Succes without a Silver Spoon (E-book)

Whatever obstacles she faced, however great the disappointment, Samira’s hunger for a successful life was always greater. Instead of bringing her down, a rumbling stomach at school spurred her on. “So where’s that plate piled high with food? And how do I get there?” From the age of ten, she arranged her own jobs, chose her educational path with great purpose and turned every setback into a starting point. One thing she knew for certain: this is my path and I’m going to shape it myself.

Entrepreneur Samira Bouharrou grew up in the Kralingen neighbourhood of Rotterdam. Without financial means, without a business network and without a well-trodden path. However, her Moroccan parents did instil in her things that proved to be just as valuable: perseverance, discipline and the absolute conviction that you have to create your own opportunities. Giving up was never an option. Through a variety of jobs, including cleaning, she grew into a successful entrepreneur. She first set up a promotions company and later the childcare centre Het Paleisje, which now has eight branches in and around Rotterdam. The poverty of her childhood is her greatest motivation to provide children with the very best.

A candid story for anyone who has ever doubted themselves, got stuck in old patterns or felt that there is more to life. Samira shows that growth begins the moment you take control. This book is a loving nudge. Will you rise to the challenge?
